The first rule of a gun fight is to have a gun, preferably one that works!

In Cherokee County: "Tucker pulled the trigger a few times, but the gun never fired. He backed up to check the problem, and that?s when he says the burglar realized Tucker had a gun. At that point, Tucker says the man dropped to his knees and begged for mercy."

No telling. I wonder how many guns there are out there just like it: stuffed in a drawer somewhere in the house and rendered useless by years of neglect. Of course it's possible he just didn't load it and was too embarrassed to tell the reporter.

It does show that the mere presence of a gun is a game changer.
