This is going to be my next purchase, as soon as I find the best price. I'm asking any dealers reading this to please send me your best 'out the door' price, as I would prefer to do business with a forum sponsor. Thank you

I see no replies. Have you had any luck finding one of these bad boys in stock anywhere? Have you not heard from Silent Bob (pun intended).

Haven't heard any news from him. It appears all the distributors are out, and anxiously awaiting shipments from the factory. You know I'll keep ya posted.

Still all quiet on the Savage front? On that distributor promise of "65 coming in next week," one of the other members warns, don't hold your breath. Remember a bird in the hand...

On that one deal you found, the seller mentioned replacing the factory muzzle break washer. 1. Does that void the warranty? 2. Is there a known issue where this would be a recommended or necessary modification?

PSA has one with a tactical stock at their NE store off of 77. Will be there later today. I will check the price.

@bigfutz...The guy that had that gun said that there wasn't anything wrong with the washer, but that his gunsmith just didn't like the way it looked. I've never heard of any real 'issues' with the washer, maybe the gsmith just needed a little work? I've never read Savage's warranty, but I'd bet it would void it. But it's all moot, he sold the gun to someone else.
@thebrasilian...I appreciate you looking out for me. I didn't see your message about psa yesterday morning, bigfutz saw it and forwarded it to my phone. I called them instantly, but they said they had just sold it this past Monday. Guy told me they got $2100 for it, that's a little steep...but I guess if you've got the only one around, you can go high on the price.
Thanks again to you both.

I know you have a couple of leads out there... anything looking like it will pan out? So it sounds like there are just none available anywhere, not really a price issue, right?

Have you got that BA running yet? Let's see some pics once you have it set up.

I've been so covered up with work I haven't had much time to work with it. Got it cleaned up good, bipod mounted and a box of ammo. Just got around to getting some locktite and getting the rail mounted this past Sunday afternoon. Had a little money put away for the glass to top it off...but had to buy a new set of tires for the work van last week. I'm hoping to have it all put together soon, I'll snap a photo when I get the scope mounted, and some video when I get to shoot it.
