Well as we all know VFGs on a pistol are a no no and will get you a vacation in Club Fed or at least a hefty fine plus lawyer fees.
There seems to have been some confusion that has recently been resolved.
It seems that if your AR pistol is at least 26" in permanent length it can have a VFG.

Take a look and let us know what you think.

This new design features an 11.5" barrel and comes in 5.56 NATO.
The XO-26b ships to 01/FFLs, and it is not an AOW.
Consequently, no NFA paperwork is required!
Each XO-26b ships with a copy of the ATF approval letter signed by the Chief of the ATF Firearms Technology Branch

All I'm saying is if your gonna do it you better have that letter within hands reach and hope the unsure cop doesn't think in his head that this approval letter was for that exact rifle/company. If it were me I would write a letter to NFA technology branch and include a copy of this letter and get it in writing with your name on it direct from the horses mouth with your rifles particulars in the letter. This way there is no doubt to a LE1 that your allowed to have it....But if you think your good to go then I wish you good luck.
