Anybody here attend turkey shoots?
I remember going to a couple of turkey shoots when I was 14 - 15 years old.
I even shot at one. It was only a dollar.
The shoot had guns available to shoot with or you could bring your own.
You paid a buck a shot and they used a divider to determine the shot pellet closest to the crosshairs on the paper target.
Th turkey was one pound for each dollar/shooter. You could buy multiple shots for the same shoot.

It was all about money for charities.

I never see turkey shoots any more.
Is it just me?

Just you, or maybe the area you live in, most of them charge 3-5 per shot now tho, I know of prob 10 in a 10-15 mi radius of me, and there's prob clost to that many more around me that I am not aware of, lots of rural/small town volunteer fire depts hold them. Me and my brothers have talked about getting together one night and hitting a few of them, haven't been able to get together on a night tho...
