So what's the word on taurus 1911s? I had PT911 years ago and swore I'd never own another taurus auto again. Their wheelguns look to be good to go, and I've heard good things about their polymer guns, so are the 1911s alright?

Hmmmm I seem to agree. I love the revolvers but have sent my fair share of semi's back to the factory for repair. Some of my customers love them though so I dont know. I dont own one. Just going by what I experience.

I own: PT99, PT145 Mill, 609 (Need to send back), and an ultra lite. All but the 609 perform flawlessly. Looking to compete with the pt99.

My neighbor has 2 PT1911. Great guns. Tight and accurate.

Adjustable trigger, Night sights, I love mine. I have about 800 rnds through it and it's been flawless.

A friend is looking at the PT911, not the 1911. It looks like a clone of something... maybe a Sig Something? Any experience or recommendations? Hows about finding mags and holsters for these various Tauri?

I own a Taurus Millenium Pro PT111 and have never had a single issue. I heard that some of the earlier models had issues but mine has functioned flawlessly every single time. They get the same bad rap that kel tecs get but I love both of them and have never had any issues with either.
