SOLD:

West German Sig Sauer P220 chambered in .45 ACP, dated 1991, with night sights and accessories - $550 *dropped from $600*

This gun has a carbon steel slide (lighter weight than the current Sig slides) and an internal extractor.

I bought the gun right after the previous owner got it back from Sig to have the springs and roll pins replaced. While the gun was there, Sig put a 11 degree crown on the muzzle of the barrel and installed night sights.

I put about 150 flawless rounds through it since I bought it. The only reason I want to sell it is to get something different. I just want to experience as many guns as I can, so I don't keep them that long.

$550 *dropped from $600*:
Gun
Very visible, higher profile, 3 dot night sights installed
Original sights in box
Hogue Rubber Grips installed
Factory Grips
1 Factory 8 round mag
2 Factory 7 round mags
1 8 round mag, unknown brand
Blue Sig Sauer hardcase
Blackhawk SERPA Sportster Holster
Tagua Gunleather Belt Slide Holster

Without Holsters - $500 *Dropped from $550*

Will only do a face to face transaction within the upstate area.

So what "something different" are you wanting to try? I've been shopping for something in .45, what did or didn't you like about it? Have you looked at the Sig P250, and if so, your thoughts?

I love this P220. I like the fact that the West German guns had the carbon steel slide, which is lighter than Sig's current slides. It really feels well balanced in the hand due to that. The DA trigger pull seems smoother and lighter than the P250's trigger pull, and the SA trigger pull is almost 1911 like. Bother trigger pull modes have a little bit of take up, but its not bad.

Anyway, I'm just wanting a a Sig 229 or or another 1911. Just want to experience as many different makes/models of guns as I can. Think of it as personal project to do gun reviews on as many guns as I can, keeping mental notes on what guns I liked and didn't like, and why. I always trade or sell a gun to get another.

Had a P250 once, it was OK, but the long DAO trigger pull combined with a composite frame was a turn off for me. The DAO wasn't that bad, but considering all the other choices out there, I didn't see the point. Also, I'm just not into polymer framed guns anymore.

I'm guessing you mean DAO, not DOA. :D

BTW, that is some of the best photography I've seen. Do you have a site (other than this) where you post your reviews? If not, you should consider it.

Nice catch, the trigger definitely wasn't Dead-On-Arrival, lol.

I was going to start posting reviews, but there are so many other reviews out there for every gun, that I decided to mayke it a personal thing. Plus, I don't have the time for that. Although, I do think about starting up a review site, every now and then.
