Simpsonville PD Traffic Enforcement Focus

In the past, several of my friends I know have reported they've been pulled over for actually going 3-4 MPH over the 35 MPH speed limit on Main Street in Simpsonville, and not even hitting 40 MPH. That's not with the officer "helping them out", either.

Just trying to give you fellow Simpsonville guys a heads up.

The Simpsonville Police Department will be focusing Traffic Enforcement of SE Main and NE Main Street from today until 01/29/2012. Special attention will be given to motorist disregarding red lights.

I'm interested to know what is so especially significant about the next four days that warrants such behavior.

And, under our current laws, shouldn't motorists that run red lights always be getting special attention? :roll:

Simpsonville "Public Safety Checkpoint" 2/17-2/18

The Simpsonville Police Department will be conducting a Public Safety Checkpoint on the 600 Block of Fairview Road. The checkpoint will take place Friday night 02/17/2012 at 10:00 PM until Saturday morning 02/18/2012 at 2:00 AM.
