I've been living in the Columbia area for almost 20 years now. Born and raised in Seattle Washington. I'm a CWP holder and frequent the Defender Shooting Sports range in Lexington, SC. Was a member of Mid Carolina Rifle Club for a year, then moved on.

I own several handguns of various calibers, a combat modified Mossberg 500, and a Kel-Tec 9mm Sub-2000 carbine. I spent 12 years on active duty in the Army and I'm now a disabled veteran. Been married 30 years this November and have two boys in their 20's.

Welcome to the forum!
If you don't mind my asking, what do you carry for that ccw?

My number one is a Karh CM9. Number two is a Ruger LCP. Both with Federal Hydroshock HP's. The LCP is great in the summer with shorts and a T-shirt using a wallet holster. The CM9 is an easy carry as well.

I checked out the Kahr, seems like a nice little gun. On par with my XD9SC, I carry it with a Crossbreed Supertuck. I'm not familiar with wallet carry, is that similar to the pocket holsters?

Welcome to the forum!! Fellow disabled vet here as well. My official retirement is set for Dec 1st. Did 13 years in the Coast Guard as a law enforcement officer/Instructor. Are you an Iraq/ Afgan Vet? I did 15 months in the sand box from 04-05. Yes its true. There is about 600 puddle pirates stationed overseas doing oil rig protection and high risk pirate prevention boardings for vessels entering Iraq since 2003. First coastie named "Nathan Bruckenthal" died in combat since Vietnam while I was over there in 04 from a suicide bomber boat as he approached the boat to intercept it. Was a rough year after that knowing we had to intercept all those boats never knowing if it was our time to go. Anyway I will quit rambling. Thanks for your service!!! Hope I get to meet you at shootzenfest.

You ever want to head back out to mid carolina?

I don't think I'll be signing up again if that's what you're asking. It's a great range but I never felt comfortable there as a member. Though I did meet some great people. I use to live right off Fish Hatchery Rd. up until about 3 years ago.
