I will be conducting the SLED certified Concealed Weapons Permit class on Saturday, December 3rd, 2011. This is an eight hour class consisting of classroom instruction and subsequent firearm qualification on an outdoor range.
Requirements:
1. Age 21 years or older
2. Not prohibited from possessing a firearm
3. Resident of South Carolina, or a non-resident who owns property in South Carolina, or military personnel on permanent change of station orders
When:
Saturday, December 3rd ? 8:30 a.m. to approx. 5:00 p.m.
Where:
Durbin Creek Fire Dept. - 499 Knighton Chapel Road, Fountain Inn, SC 29644
What to bring:
? Handgun, no caliber smaller than .22
? 50 rounds of ammo
? Hip holster
? Hearing protection
? Eye protection
? Pad of paper and pen
? Driver?s license
? Drinks/snacks
? All other items will be included
What to wear:
Dress comfortably for the class, but keep in mind that we will shoot rain or shine, so bring rain gear if applicable
Other details:
? We will break for lunch around noon, we can decide where we would like to eat during the class
? A refrigerator is available for drinks/snacks
? Please leave handguns in your vehicle until instructed to retrieve them
? If applicants need the use of a handgun, ammo, holster, or eye and hearing protection, please contact me prior to the class to make arraignments
? All range rules must be adhered to at all times ? safety is priority number one
? The $50.00 course fee must be paid at the beginning of class
? When you leave the class, you will have everything that you need to send in your application to SLED, except for fingerprints (fingerprint cards will be provided) and the $50.00 SLED application fee. Your local law enforcement office will fingerprint you for a very small fee ($5.00 - $10.00)
