Ive been looking around at various websites trying to figure out the proper procedures for transporting a rifle. It seems as long as its unloaded and in the back of my SUV its ok to move. I cant find anything definitive though and was wondering what you all thought. I should have my AK this week!

My most recent SC popo law book says In the "passenger compartment" with the "action open". Cops wont bother you for long guns as long as you dont have a 30 round mag attached ready to rock.

I spoke with a wildlife LEO today and asked him what is the law about transporting a rifle. His response was," I don't think there is one. Only for WMA, then it needs to be unloaded and in a case."
