I really don't know what to say. The main force behind this appears to be one parent company that owns numerous fast food chains, although I'm sure if they're successful the rest will fall into queue. The fast food companies absolutely do not need to line their already gilded coffers with funds from food stamps nor do I believe those who accept food stamps should be able to use them for restaurant meals, not even those who don't have access to kitchen facilities like the homeless. I'd rather see the gov allow soup kitchens and food pantries to accept food stamps as this would allow them to provide higher quality food to more people.
*sigh* I want to see the government squash this but I'm sad to say that I'm not sure it will.

Sadly as long as that bird brain and his cronies are in office it has a good chance of going through. IMO the food stamp program is a big mistake, Too many people in this country have them and don't need them and the rest abuse them.

We have become too much of a welfare/needy/me me me country.

Yeah, does anyone know why California is such a huge area of leftist thinking? Has the bright lights and silicone melted their brains? Or perhaps they were removed in a figure enhancing surgery so the numbers in their 'folio have more appeal

Not to change the subject.
California was once thought of as progressive.
Now it is thought of as repressive.

It's a sad state of affairs when people think everything is a right.
Yes, it is, but that's the thing, I've only heard about this in the frame of the corporation is lobbying for it, not the people on welfare or their advocates.

I agree. Who knew Arnold would be such a good babysitter for a nanny state?

It's supposed to be a supplemental food program for the elderly and disabled, but I see a different demographic hitting up Taco Bell with their entitlement stamps. Sorry, I meant food stamps.

Some people genuinely need help, but I say let that help come from family, friends or church. Not the government. (I know, I know, preaching to the choir. Thank goodness!) Everyone else needs to get off these crutch programs and stop leeching off the tax payers.
