I just picked up a nice remington 700 heavy barrel 6mm rem with a hs precision stock. This gun is dead on accurate. I'm talking touching holes at 100 yards but I want to put an aftermarket trigger on it....Anybody have ideas??? I was looking at a jewel trigger $224 from midway.

I think Frost just put a Timney system in his 700...

I have a Timney drop in trigger in one of my AR's, and it is as smooth as butter...I love it.

I did put a Timney trigger in my 700.
There is no comparison between it and the original one.
I could not believe how crappy the triggers are on some 700s.
I did not have the latest one, it came out right after I got mine.
It might have been somewhat better.

I have heard great things about the jewel trigger economics was part of the reason I went with Timney.
The savings was substantial so I thought what the heck, I'll give it a try.
