Even here in Birmingham it's frigid. With cold weather one can throw on a coat and conceal just about anything.

But I stopped by Walgreens for some chest congestion meds and when I stepped inside the heat on roast hit me like a brick wall.

Does no good to use your coat as a cover gament if you want to shed it the moment you hit the door.

Depending on the temp I've always layered ie: shirt, sweatshirt, jacket or hoodie and my gun is usually under my sweatshirt. If it's not that cold and only a jacket is needed I'll either carry a smaller piece of not worry about taking off the coat. It really depends on the situation and adjusting accordingly for it.

This is why I pocket carry. I know it's not the best to draw from, but I don't have to wear a jacket or go around with an untucked shirt.

I pocket carry 90% of the time.

It is so much easier in OC states. Conceal if you want to, but if the need arises to discard your jacket, OC if you have to. The reverse applies. OC if you want to, but if you have to throw on a jacket, you can carry on as well.

My fingers are crossed that constitutional carry makes it.
