It looks very clean and well made, After all, every major firearms maker these days have handgun lines made with space-age composit plastic.

I do a lot of side work for a plastics industry training and research facility and they have complete confidence in polymer parts.

Are there any known issues with fitting for aftermarket parts?

Enjoy it!

Being that the last post here was three and one-half months ago I would like to inquire as to how these are holding up. I know Upstate Armory will have some at the upcoming fun shows and I am curious. The national forums are filled with hate or praise from people who seemingly have never used a Plum Crazy lower. Since people here own them I just would like to hear a few more recent updates...

I've put 300 rounds through mine and checked the wear areas every cleaning and haven't found any noticeable wear on the composite. I've had zero problems. I'm going to build a light weight upper for it. I've been using my Del-Ton M4 upper. I've used Brownell, surplus Colt and Pmag mags without any issues. I think it is a keeper. You can't beat the price.

Here's a dumb-a$$ question: I bought a Plum Craazy lower and I can't fit my Bushmaster upper to it. Is there a difference between carbine and full length uppers with regards to what lower it will mate with? Are Bushmaster uppers some sort of odd size?

It 'hits' at the rear pin. Looks like the upper is too wide to fit into the lower notch.

Anyone else have this problem?

The take down pin lug is very tight on all my Plum Crazy lowers. I have to smack the upper with my hand to get them to close and smack the end of the barrel to get them to open. This seems to be the norm on all five of my lowers. I like this feature because it takes out all the upper to lower play.

Those who own these lowers seem to enjoy them very much, and this thread has been more than helpful in determining whether or not I will purchase one. But there is one more thing I guess must be asked...Would you purchase one again?

YES!!! For the right configuration. I wouldn't put a heavy barrel on it. Wouldn't balance well without help.

I measured the width of the receiver at the rear pin and it was 0.040" undersized. However, I was able to nudge the top receiver into place with a little gentle persuasion. So basically, it fits just fine once its installed. Being that the lower is polymer, I suppose a little flexing is in order.

By the looks of it, it should work nicely. I want to find an inexpensive upper now. Any suggestions?

Behind every good man is a woman that unfortunately holds him back at all the wrong moments...

I'm glad to see that people are actually trying these lowers with out just blasting them and saying they aren't any good. I don't have one but why shouldn't they function any different than something like a Glock as others have posted. It is definately a contender for the next build. Wonder how it do with a .458 SOCOM upper?
