So the wife has family in PA and she asked me to go for the holidays. We drove all day yesterday and I was thinking it sorta sucks I couldnt carry in PA. NC, VA, WV all accept SC but not PA. Just for shit a giggles I got the wife to take me to the sheriffs office and 5 min later and $25 I was able to get my PA license. So now Im covered all the way on my trip. The other good thing is I have to drive once a month to get my kids in Savannah and now with the PA I will be coved there. So now I'm glad I came up. Too bad I hate the cold and snow.

Ill remember that, I have family in PA and would like to be legal there also. Of course I called the county sheriff a well expletive list of names years back when he was a deputy so it might get interesting.thanks

Centre County Sheriff will do it via mail for $25 plus a self-addressed stamped envelope. Look them up online fir the form to print and mail along with photo copies of your SCDL and SCCCP.

Low Branch- I was told by a friend that PA is doing away with the online application and mailing in the stuff after the first of the year. I don't know if its true but that's what a friend told me last week.

No Resprocity but NC accepts ours. I read it on one of the Handgun CCW carry websites. SC does not accept NC permit though.

Mr. Bryant,
I know the wheels of government run slow more times than naught, but I decided to check the Centre Co. Sheriff's Department website today and it seem that the only change is that the fee went up to $26.00. I can only assume that by now the changes would have been made, but who knows.

Not too long after I got my SCCCP I sent away for my PA permit. It also allows you to carry in GA if I'm not mistaken. I'm waiting for the time when MD and Washington DC recognize any out of state permits.

Has anyone on here tried this?
I think that if I can add Georgia for $26 that will pretty much take care of everywhere that I go except California. I don't have high expectations about adding California though!
