I have been gathering parts to build an AR-10 (LR-308). Well, I snagged a handguard, but lo and behold, my AR-15 wrench doesn't fit. Why so many variations? Is there any consensus between mfgs to standardize a nut for free float handguards. They all brag about their proprietary barrel nuts. Are there free float handguards that fit on a standard nut (like used with 2-piece hand guards)?
