Anyone go to the show today? I'm thinking about riding down on Sunday. I've been 2-3 times to this show and it wasn't bad at all. Anyone going Sunday?

I went this morning and it stunk on toast in my opinion. Saddest one yet. This may have been compounded by the overwhelming presence of baby strollers though. Those things need a licensing process.

i went today too, line all the way to the parking lot to get in, lines to get out, people everywhere. it was almost too crowded to enjoy it people pushing, squeezing to get by and YES baby strollers everywhere. I even saw a side by side one, I have young kids but i left them at home. As for deals on guns...none to be found, you can buy from the comfort of your home computer, have it sent to Henry to transfer and save yourself time and most of all money. As always georgia arms had lots going on at their tables due to deals on ammo...but that is about it.
also some funny people hanging around the parking lot like they were up to no good......

We did go, and it was really crowded. I noticed a couple of strollers, but what was more noticeable was the rapidly disappearing inventory. I did manage to elbow people aside and exercise my purchasing power. :D

Went to the gun show. It was crazy. Some ammo deals for my son-in-law. Cleaning supplies for me. Glad I got to see P1 and some other sellers I know but too crowded to visit. Most everyone said things were selling briskly.

P.S. Not in a caliber you sell Jeff.

kala & I had a table right behind P-One ammo. It was crazy packed Saturday and I never really had a chance to look around the show other than to snatch a few parts for my BIL's AR15.

Saw a few folks like Enjay, Fordnut and the D&R guy. Dave29461 I missed you tho.

M16Maniac and kala will be manning the table Sunday to say Hi if you make the show.

Shameless plug - I have a Ruger M77 in 220 Swift on the table and some 308 plastic cased blank ammo. The blanks are $3.00 per 50rds or 4 boxes of 50rds for $10.00 and kala has some boxes of long term storage food for a great price too.

Well, it's raining here this morning and I have come down with an extreme case of laziness. I guess I'll pass on Ladson today. I was a few minutes too late on a trade yesterday. It was on another forum and I just missed it.

I made it on Saturday and left with a .38 holster and some 303 British ammo. I had a few offers on a Ruger I was carrying around, but nothing near what I was trying to get for her. I saw Rich from D&R and Dave29461 earlier in the day. Crowds were huge, but that is a good thing for the sellers. I didn't see anything other than the holster that I absolutely couldn't live without. (It is a gift) I was looking for a Glock 23 but everything I saw was pretty high priced.

I don't know how we missed you. It was so crowded and we spent a lot of time just standing and trying to be polite. I know we didn't hit every aisle. the one against the west wall in the back building behind D&R was so packed that we didn't try to go down it. You must have caused a traffic jam over there. :D I did stop and say hello to the folks at D&R. Can't come today.
I told someone ReefShark cleaned out my wallet Sat. but thinking back it has to have been my Son that cleaned me out. Most of what I bought was for him. I've been played

I agree with Enjay. The lack of guns at the gun show kills me. Not as bad as the Myrtle Beach shows, though.

I went early Saturday morning at 9:15, and could not believe the crowd. As mentioned by others there was a line to get into the parking lot, stand in line to get a ticket and it was even worse inside. Really tough to shop and talk with your buddies in that environment.

I saw one guy with a child in the stroller. The kid was trying to grab the muzzle of every gun that was hanging over the end of the table. You should have seen the look on the vendor's face as he grabbed the rifles and pulled them one by one. The father took his hand away and as soon as he pushed the stroller 6 inches he grabbed another one.

Since I live locally I thought about going back later in the day, but a friend of mine was there and he said it was just bad then. I bought a few small items but no firearms. Prices seemed to be a little higher than the last show in November, but that is just my opinion.

Do any of you guys attend the shows in Columbia or Myrtle Beach? I wonder how they all compare, but with the price of gas these days I hate to drive only to be disappointed further from home.

I went today(Sunday) and was really disappointed. Seemed more like a gun accessory and knife show to me. I did see a couple pistols I liked though. I was hoping to trade my full size Ruger P95PR for something like an LC9 but the couple vendors I spoke with wanted my gun and a couple hundred+ bucks on top of it. Uh, no! It was very crowded and no traffic flow, stood in line to see a gun just to have someone come from the opposite direction to jump in line.

Some of the regular vendors were not in attendance, I noticed. I was looking for "Mosin Man" but didn't see him. I was looking for some Russian pistol mags and my guy wasn't their either.

Bought some ammo from "Precision One" and got my discount (Thank You very much) and got a sweet deal on some 9mm Makarov ammo (400 rounds for $50).

The crowd was KRAZY! Like you all, I pulled in at 9:30am and gave up trying to park, just turned around and ate breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Tried again at about 10:30am and saw a huge line of vehicles exiting the parking area, so I pulled in.

Forget trying to stop and admire a gun or two, I had so many idiots trying to grind their crotch into my back pockets and making me dry hump the tables. Lots of mom's and dad's with junior in strollers trying to meander through the isle and no one was moving. I can only guess that everyone got their tax refund and it was burning holes in their pockets. Heck, even the Rivers Avenue Walmart was outta most ammo.

I really believe that there actually were guns there at the start of the show. While I was there I saw several vendors having to rearrange so that they had at least one gun in a case.

PCShogun, asking for that much on top of your gun for an LC9 is ridiculous, they're running under 400 as it is. I only saw one LC9 there, I hear that the vendors are having a heck of a time getting new merchandise from the distributors. It simply isn't available, I don't think the manufacturers anticipated the huge upswing in sales.

I have blinders that keep me from seeing any firearm less than 40 years old and guns which I've seen at more than two shows (because they have been priced out of reach and will never sell). I saw a smattering of overpriced Garands, Springfields, and other US stuff. Then I saw a single pair of interesting Mausers and a rack of Yugo M48s. That was it.

To answer the earlier question about gun shows in SC... I've actually chanced most of the SCACA and Mike Kent show locations and this is my ranking (mind you I have a C&R bias).

Greenville
Columbia
Florence
Charleston
Myrtle

Yes, Florence beats Charleston. It didn't two years ago but the last few here have been horrible. Florence shows still get a handful of private sellers from time to time so you can find some things for fair prices.

The Sumter show was good for C&R and private sellers when I went this year. I hope they keep it alive.

I'll have to check that out then. I feel like some of the smaller shows just do better in certain niche ways.

"MOSIN MAN"(i.e. Darrell of SC Gun Co.) didn't make the show due to problems with the company van which was giving him trouble at 3:30 AM on the way to Ladson.Rather than get completely stranded on I-26 at that time of the morning he came back home.
He had purchased quite a few new rifles for the show.
