Anyone have any experience with the new Kimbers yet?

I need to get something flatter than my Taurus PT-145 and may be interested in these in June.

I've held both the polymer and the all metal ones. Palmetto State Armory had both. They feel real nice. But, at just under$800 I'm a little shy about them. At that price I'm may go compact 1911 in 45. They are still thinner than my double stack 45.

First off...I was at Palmetto Armory today. They told me they have never had a Solo yet...

I think you saw them at Sportsman Paradise. The guy at Palmetto said that SP had at least one in stock, and it was WAY high priced...

Go to the Kimber website. They have a list price in there. They list on the website for $600.00

Well...I was wrong on the list price on the website...They have a NEW website...and it has no prices...they say now you must go to a dealer to find prices...

Before this change in the website, they said $600.00 for either model...

Sorry Fordnut, but they had one of each (shinny and black) at Palmetto. I played with both of them with Serg and they were in the $700 range.

I don't go to SW very often. I get annoyed with the opinionated counter guys.
