An MP5 is a great gun. But why spend the cash when there are other good options available. How about an UZI. A nice UZI can be had for about 7000.00/7500.00.
Then there is the Reising. A GREAT entry level Full auto. About 4500.00/5000.00
If ya want to go big time then an AR reciever in FA is the ticket. For about what you will pay for a MP5 you can get an AR FA then a 9mm and .22 conversion uppers. Thats a lot of function for the same price.
Another nice toy is the American 180. A lot of .22 down range with that babe! Saw one today for 7500.00. Just a few ywars ago you could not get one for less than 10k.
Then there are the Macs. A lot of fun in a compack configeration. Plus you can customize them and create almost anything you can imagine.
Try to make the spring shootezenfest and you will see a full range of FA weapons. You can shoot the bling bling Thompson then also.
I have never purchased anything from that Summit Gun Broker guy, but I have heard tons of good thing about his sales, and he is allays getting a lot of nice new and used stuff in everyday.
Thanks guys for the help...I looked at his website and not much there. I do like the mp5 suppressed, but the tommy gun is interesting as well. If i am going to spend a few thousand on a gun, it is going to have to interest me a whole lot.
I'm a HK fan myself and own several host guns for my trigger pack. However the M16 is a great option and the cost of swapping uppers is cheaper than buying a new complete gun to serve as a host for the registered HK sear / trigger pack. I will admit the MP5 is smoother than the M16 in 9mm and a 3 lug suppressor set up is sweeeeeet! But then you have a cool new beltfed 223 upper now offered for the AR15/M16's which is much cheaper than the HK 23 clones.
The going rate on a HK sear seems to be about $11,500 to $12,000 right now. A friend sold one within the last 45 days in a SEF pack ready to go for $11,995.00, sold in 5 days!
