I was in Columbia yesturday to do a gun trade FTF. While I was there, I figured I would visit a couple of gun shops....

First one was a real nice place off exit 110....but, can't remember the name of the store. They are a Master Kimber Dealer...which means they have LOTS of Kimbers....I drooler all over the showcases...but, never found anything that I "had to have"...

Then I went to Palmetto Armory. Very hard place to find....but, wouth the trouble.

I bought the last AK-47 they had in the store. It is a Romie with wood funriture...They also had a great deal on ammo for the AK...but I didn't need 1200 rounds at one time...

I also bought all the mags they had for AR-15's that held 42 rounds...I didn't even know anyone made 42 round AR mags...but I now own one of them...They only had 3 left, and, Frost told me about them, so, have to let him have 2 of them...

Now I will have to fine some time to shoot the AK...But, I know I won't wait long...

Welcome to the dark side.
Next thing you know you will forsake bourbon for good Russian Vodka.
Might I suggest Russian Standard, the only place you can get it locally is Total Wine.

look for the light at the end of the tunnel. if it is red or green, pull the trigger! :D

I like AK's. I don't have one yet, but I haven't gone down that path yet. I'm still in my handgun phase.

The full size AK's are heavier that I thought they would be, but they seem to be well balanced.
I enjoyed shooting Frost's AK. I'll probably get an AK for myself.

Congratulations!

Had a fifth of Standard friday night, only a shot or two remained the next morning...

Hope you enjoy your new AK, post a pic or two of it if you get a chance!

Congrats on the AK. I picked one up during the panic thinking I might as well get one while I can. I picked the most hideous model available, the AMD-65, I like it and will most likely get a classic wood stocked model at some point.

Yes, it was Shooter's Choice...Real nice place/ I wish it were closer to home. I love drooling on Kimbers...

They even had 3 used Browning Hi-Powers...My most favorite pistol in the world...

I will have to make a trip back to see those guys real soon...

I really enjoyed shooting the AK on full auto in Iraq. Great gun but I want to go long range so I'd like an SVD or similar like an Iraqi Al Kadesiah or Romanian PSL. One of these days.

I had one of those Romie AK's once but the bolt fell outta the carrier and jammed up the works, couldn't figure out how to fix it.

I pretty much gave it away to a friend for $75.00..............;)
