Hey Shooters,

A friend of my family out in Texas has suffered a tragedy. Their 8th grade son, Rayne Newby, was burned over 90% of his body in an accidental fire the day before thanksgiving. There are several charities set up out in Texas through events being scheduled and local banks so I thought I'd try to raise a little out here to send. If anyone wold like to drop a buck or two into the hat and have Paypal, my address is kg4kpg AT gmail DOT com. Pay as a "Gift" and once there is a bit to send I'll post up on the forums how much was raised and sent. They also have a Facebook page you can "Like" if you want called "Praying for Rayne Newby". https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Praying-for-Rayne-Newby/222670711137466
As for Rayne, he is in a burn unit ICU in Dallas. I don't know the outlook yet but he has had several skin grafts already and has a long way to go. He is a fighter.

Please don't feel obligated, just if you would like to help out.

If anyone hasn't had a chance to visit the facebook page for Rayne, he is showing the true ability of young people to heal. It only took a few days for him to come off of a ventilator and he is talking to his mother and father but is still sedated most of the time. I burned my finger on a soldering iron once and thought the word was coming to an end. :D Rayne is also sleeps through the night. They said his skin is being harvested in Boston...I didn't know they harvested skin. He is still in for many surgeries, then physical therapy, then who know, but they say he will be in the hospital for at least eight months. His family is staying at a Ronald McDonald house there as well. Many groups have raised money and I have raised some on the forums I frequent so if anyone else in interested just let me know. I can take paypal or checks. Again, please don't feel obligated, I know I don't like people asking me for money either (especially my mortgage, auto, credit card people ;) ) Just keep him on your mind or in your prayers.

Thanks,

Chris
