Guns.com visiting Charleston

Hello Palmetto Shooters Forum members. This is Chris from Guns.com, we are a new website that has been around for a little less than a year now, if you aren't familiar with us check us out. Anyway I am not here to advertise our site, I am posting because the writers of Guns.com are going to be down in Charleston the week of September 12th. I had another palmettoshhotersforum.com member email me and they told me this would be a good place to get some information on things we can do in and around Charleston.

We are looking to put together a little guide for our audience on the can't miss gun locations around Charleston - i.e. guns shops, ranges, manufactures, clubs, hunting grounds, hangouts, etc etc.

So that is why I am here - what suggestions do you guys have on the goto places we may not know about? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I was also told the members here often head out to a range called Boggy Head on the weekend. If anyone is interested we would love to organize a get together and do some shooting. Perhaps on Sept 17th if anyone is interested.

I have heard good things about their products . I don't know them personally but am always up to promoting local firearms manufacturing.

Count me as definite. I'll bring some old (C&R) and new, long and short toys. I like early because of the heat but I'll save the day to fit the group.

I will bring everything from a Cowboy revolver to an AR-15 Pistol...and a lot in between...

Just figure a time and we will come...

By the way...Have you seen some of the videoes of "Shootzenfest"???? That will give you some ideas.

Mr. Callahan, would you prefer to stay in the Charleston area, or are you open to traveling?
Locally I can suggest East Coast Guns http://www.eastcoastgunshop.com/ and Belt Training http://belttraining.com, there's also a gun show in town on the 10th and 11th at the fair grounds. I believe Precision ONe Ammunition http://www.precisiononeammunition.com/ will be there if you need any bulk or custom loads, and upstate we have Palmetto State Armory http://palmettostatearmory.com/ and other great places too.

Is this a firm plan? I'm set to be out at Boggyhead Sat. If I get my 308 Upper back from Eastcoast"s machine shop, I want to test it when there are lots of experts around.

yeah this is a firm plan. we will be at boggy head this saturday at 10:30am.
if that is too early for anyone just let us know. otherwise we will be there at that time.

we are going to be bringing along our new XDM 5.25 and we will have a kel tec sub 2000 as well. we will also have some guns.com t-shirts to giveaway too.

we look forward to meeting you guys out there and can't wait to have a good time out on the range.

Thank God we drive different cars or they might get us mixed up. I'll be the fat man in the tan forum hat in the burgundy Venture van I will bring the AR308 I finished up tonight. Thanks! East Coast Guns for the great service.

My buddy Tom is coming with me...He is bringing his .460

I will bring my AR pistol, my .44 Mag, my Garand, and the SKS...

Guess that will be enough.

I will try to make it as well. I may be there before 1030. I am actually low on 223 and 9mm, but i will bring what i can. I will bring a few toys as well.

I'm gonna plan to be there around 10:15 to 10:30 but gotta stop for some .223 on the way. I have some paper targets if anyone needs one. Anyone gonna have a spotting scope by chance? I still need to zero the scope but only have 12x bino's. I'll be in a silver GMC Canyon.
