We just got back from the show. I was pleased to see The Judy's from Belt Training. Lisa-Marie was super busy, as usual, but was kind enough to take the time to chat for a bit. I hope she takes me up on the offer to shoot the Carbine soon! I also introduced myself to Jeff and his lovely wife at the Precision ONe booth, great folks and we will be contacting them later this year for some ammunition. (Please, make the videos!) Then we found Dale at the East Coast booth and had a fascinating talk about guns. Ever wish you could bind up someone's knowledge and read it like a book? I believe those people would keep my nose buried in their volumes for a couple of years
I even managed to strike up a conversation with a gentleman about reloading while we were looking at some presses, it so happens that he has the press I'm looking at purchasing (Lee turret) and he passed on some feedback about it. Unfortunately the crowd separated us before I had the chance to mention the forum to him by name.
Did anyone see that odd looking thing one of the vendors near the front door had? It resembled a really big rifle receiver mounted on a tripod/stand, it had at least two things mounted on either side that looked like smallish scopes or other optics, and it had a price tag that said something about lasers and $2,500. What was that? I didn't want to fight my way through the gentlemen that were looking at it just to satisfy my curiosity so I thought I'd ask here.
All in all it was a very enjoyable time. I did notice that there didn't appear to be a lot of big purchases going on, and I didn't see as many people making trades as I usually do either.
