Ok I know some people love them some people hate them but between the 19 and the 26 which is the better cc gun?

Man...so many variables here. I LOVE Glocks and they are the only pistols we own. Which one do you shoot better? Which one feels better in your hand? Can you easlily conceal the G19 and is it comfortable to do so? The list goes on...
My wife owns the G26 and it is one of the sweetest shooting subcompact carry guns I have ever shot. Small, light, ultra reliable, very very concealable, 10+1 capacity, etc.
However, if I had to personally choose which one for me and my body type (I'm 6'1" 220 pounds) I would rather have the 15+1 capacity of the G19, especially if you will be carrying a back up magazine along with it.
If you have not done so already I would definitely hit the range and rent both of them. Whichever way you go a good holster and carry belt will make all the difference in the world.

I am not a great lover of Glock's...but, I have had both models. Right now I have a model 27...
To me, the 26/27 are fat....They are short, but, very wide for their length. They...again, too me, carry kind of funny. I really prefer the 19. It , too me, is in better proportion that the "baby" Glocks...
The barrel is as long as the grip...if that makes any sense....
The only reason I got rid of the model 19 was that it did everything my M&P 9mm did....It shot as good as the S&W and it carried as good...But, the M&P just fits me better.
You need to just shoot both. That is the only way to make a fair decision.

I love my 19 and think it is the best all around Glock handgun. If you own only one it should be a 19 in my opinion. For cc I would have to go with the 26. If the grip is too small get pierce extension so your pinky has somewhere to go and carry a 17 round G17 mag as a backup.

I'm carrying the G17 now in an Old Faithful (similar to crossbreed) IWB holster. 6' and 210. Works out nicely.

I've owned many Glock sizes, calibers and models.
I settled on a G17 for my hip and G26 for my ankle.
If I was only getting one then I would get a G26. The G26 turns into a G19 when you add a 15 round magazine. It turns into a G17 when you add a 17 round magazine.

I love my Gen 3 Glock 19 and plan on buying another soon.
Great size; small enough to carry concealed, and large enough to fit in your hand and still have a substantial ammunition capacity.
I put a Hogue Hand-All grip on mine and it really improved the feel of the grip. Best $6 add-on for a pistol I've made.

I hear this question a lot. It isn't a question anyone can answer for you, except you.
As individuals it is hard enough to deal with our own size and shape. We don't know what you are like. As to size the 26 is a smaller weapon. But as a note, I am small in height and carry a 23 or 27 just as well. Admittily I have to wear a bit more clothes to better conceal the 23.
Coming to a forum and asking isn't a bad idea I guess for general ideas. But you have to figure out what you want and work with it. You're not going to to shot and practice with a gun you don't like, much less carryso gt what fits you and wear it out on he range...

I pick neither! I'd go with a 27 or 33.
-You can't make the bigger Glocks smaller, but you can add a grip extension for a little pinky room if you feel the need (I don't).
-You can shoot 3 calibers from the same gun. To go between .357sig and .40 you just need to swap the barrel and to shoot 9mm you just need a barrel and 9mm mags.
-You can use mags from a 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 26, 27, 31, 32, 33

The Glock 22 is a fine .40 S&W platform. However, the Glock 21 .45 ACP knocks it out of the ballpark. That being said, I would work off of the smaller class versions of either caliber. Win-win either way.

No fans of the .357 Sig models aka "The Long Range Glock?" One advantage is they use .40 mags, so a quick swap of the barrel and spring gets you another caliber option. Plus, there doesn't seem to be quite the ammo shortage there is in esp 9mm.

Do you have any good leads on pistol ball ammo in stock at less than a dollar per round? Almost everything I've found in stock is self defense, or something completely useless like shotshell ammo. The sponsor of the forum that sells ammo site has been down for a while now.Avtomat-Acolyte said:
