But what are the ins and outs of getting a CCW since I'm from a state SC doesn't reciprocate with (Alabama).

I know about the training requirement. Is there a wait between establishing residency and going for the CWP?

No waiting time required however you do need a S.C. Drivers License or State ID Card to prove residence.

Yeah, once I have an address up there I'm going to go ahead and get my driver's license.

I'll get the training and apply for the CWP right after that.
