Since it's almost February, I figured we should pick a date and place to meet so everyone can work it into their schedules.

How does Feb 18th work for everyone?

Any suggestions on where to meet?

The 25th works for me. I'm good with Clinton, as long as we can find somewhere other than Waffle House.

It is rumored that anti gun groups have chosen Valentine's day for an anti gun sit in at all Starbucks to protest Starbuck's concealed carry allow.Perhaps a gun fanciers breakfast at Starbucks on that day might be a good idea.

I think they are actually boycotting. If it works like their last effort, they show up with signs and get confrontational. Starbucks has said they don't want to be on the middle of a political debate about guns. I think the prudent course of action for gun owners is to patronize Starbucks on the 14th without any organized show of numbers. If the antis show up and cause a disturbance, they look stupid. If they stay home, Starbucks won't even notice a few folks that didn't buy a $5 coffee for one day, and they look stupid. Either way, Starbucks stays neutral which is a win.

I think the 18th is good for the breakfast meet because I'll be off of work that day. That way C_Carson and I can make it.

Anyway I'll be open carrying an empty holster, like I usually do while I'm out and about, on Valentines Day. I will be making a trip to Starbucks in Clemson at lunch time. I might even wear it while I'm at work since the higher ups wont be around. Now I just have to decide if I want to wear my Blackhawk SERPA on my Hip or on my thigh rig.

We should also discuss what changes we would like to propose to the next legislative session.

If the 18th is the weekend of a gun show, then we should probably pick a different weekend.

Is this upcoming Saturday too soon?

Just checked in on another international forum I'm also a member of---- a fellow posted the NGAC(Nat'l Gun Victims Action Council) boycott on Starbuck's planned for Feb. 14. Many members were not even aware of Starbuck's policy or the intended boycott.
But so far, pretty good responses in favor of Starbuck's. Many are planning to buy their first SB product that day, maybe wearing their NRA hat/shirt and showing quiet and non-organized patronage, avoiding confrontation. We'll see how that goes.

Agree w/ Canuck--- protesters love a confrontation, let's not put Starbucks in the middle of bad press. Just give 'em your business and quietly let 'em know why.

Ahhh heck. protesters for anti gun rights is going to make me want a coffee even more. I will not have a confrontation, that is not my style, but trying to boycott our rights makes me want a hot cup of Jo.

I'll be browsing the Charleston show right through breakfast time. Greenville show is the 11th though right?

This doesn't apply to Feb. but what about something like a late lunch or early dinner after one of the Columbia shows? (because they're centered geographically)

How about we say Feb 25th at 8:00. I'm open to any locations, but our turnout at Starbucks In Simpsonville was pretty good. I'd be ok with Clinton as well if someone can ID a place that is not Wafflehouse.

Wow, just scoped out Simpsonville on the map, for some reason I thought it was SE of Columbia. I don't think I can leave at 5am to make it to a breakfast there at 8am. Sorry :(
