Well the boys got off on the way back to CT this morning. We enjoyed seeing the folks who could make it out.
Jeff, great to see you and hear about the new addition. You're right, a tractor or dozer would make range grooming much easier.
Mike, loved the M1 and the SMLE. Wish I could have tried the 6.8. I'm thinking about a 6.5 or 6.8 for next build. I can say that the Claymore brake tamed my 260 Rem to lamb status. I'm getting a Dragon Head Brake for the 308 so it won't ruin the people on either side's fun.
Clicker, thanks for letting the guys and myself try the FA. That is a fun 9mm to run. John was stoked at being able to inject a little antique firepower in the mix. We were all sickened by the condition of the range. Wish we could've stayed longer. I'm happy we got half of a 26' U-Haul full of stuff for them to take home. Most of all happy to have been able to spend some time at the range with my son, Confed Sailor. We'll have to come up with a formal or another informal get together soon.
If we can set up up a range day with DNR count me in.
Dave
