The wife and I are going to be headed to Martinsburg, WV sometime very soon to see her family. We plan to exercise the right to open carry our sidearms all the way up there. We will open carry in the car, on the street, and anywhere else legal to do so in NC, VA, WV.

I have gathered all the statutes, laws, on the matter in-case anyone (LEO, civilian, another family member) gives us any grief or has any questions during our trip. From hanging out on some Open Carry forums and reading the laws, it looks like our Open Carry experience should go very well.

On another note, SC is a real oddball when it comes to firearm laws. There are tons more "liberal" states that Open Carry is just fine in. SC is stuck in the middle of two Open Carry states, for crying out loud. I am hoping the bill that's been in the works passes and will start many other bills to allow SC citizens to actually be able to experience the freedom we deserve. This whole "no business can serve alcohol on Sunday in certain cities" thing should be stopped. Now, I know some cities can issue special licenses to serve alcohol on Sundays, but they shouldn't even need those.

With liberals, it's all about selective reading. "Shall not be" becomes "Shall be" because "not" limits their control of the herd.

I would open carry if I could. I have a concealed carry permit but it would be more comfortable some times to open carry.

Guys and Gals,
DO NOT sit around and expound on an internet forum to each other about HR3292.That ain't gonna do one bit of good.Contact your house representative and your state senator and make your voice as a citizen heard.I called my representative tonight and expressed my views on my approval of this bill. Not bashing anyone for discussing it here but to get what we want WE GOTTA MAKE OURSELVES HEARD!!!!!!

I have emailed back and forth with many reps and members of the house about this, and Viers, himself. I shared some of the emails I had between Viers and myslef on usacarry, showing that Viers was stating that Grassroots was lying to people. Then Grassroots took my email and several others, used it against Viers, and then came back and stated Viers was lying about Grassroots lying. Then the whole Grassroots analysis came out about how the amended bill needs to be changed, or it needs to die. The whole situation turned into a big cluster $%&#.

Now, since the bill doesn't seem as dead as everyone thinks, I can't get much response from Viers or anyone else. This second (third go for this bill? lol) I have been trying to communicate with everyone that counts, again, that I want this thing to pass. Hopefully the silence we are getting from Viers means he is working very diligently on it, making it better. If I were to guess how many emails I have sent about this bill, I would guess more than 50, without counting them in my email folders. I seem t get much quicker responses in emails than trying to call, though.
