If you are in the market for Class 3 just be aware that I spoke to SC investigator today on the phone about some issues and timelines since the change over with processing. I have guys waiting since Feb with still no form 4 yet. She told me today that she was still working on processing papers from before the change last month and that she had three 15" stacks on her desk and hasn't even started working on SC forms yet. She said she is about 6 months behind and nowhere close to approving my Feb forms. I called most of my customers today and let them know. She told me that if Feb forms get approved before Dec she will be happy.

So the moral of the story is if you want class 3 don't plan on getting it before the next 6-8 months. Please don't shoot the messenger.

That would be her Dave. Had a good conversation with her today....Sucks for one of my customers. He has been waiting 4 months for a form 4 and he moved last week to a new county with a new DL. Now she told me today he has to start from scratch and get a new sheriff to sign off and she said it will prob be another 6 months.....Yep he is one pissed off camper. If you buy class 3 you cant move in the middle of approval!! Its real simple.

Hmmm... that sounds strange? I thought it only mattered if you moved out of state?

No not really. During the pick up I have to do a 4473 and if the DL address doesnt match the form 4 I cant complete the transfer.

It would be easier to hold off on getting a new drivers license once you move than to change your entire life and not move when you need to.
