So i ordered a cheap AK from buds. this one to be specific http://goo.gl/BImEr Just so i would have something other than my pistols to shoot at the next shootzenfest.Went to my ffl today to pick it up and not only was the front sight canted to the left, but the barrel was bent from the handguards to the muzzle brake by an 1/8th of an inch. needless to say i didnt take the gun home. They are going to send me a new one but i dont have my hopes up. The furniture was very nice and it had a dimpled receiver and no mag wobble with the mags it came with the underfolding stock felt very sturdy too. I hope they get it right on the next one. Do you all think that much bend in that short of a space would jam a bullet?

that had to be a heart breaker. I know I'd fell frustrated in a case like that.
Hopefully they'll take some time toget it right next time.
I wonder if Bud's dropshipped it from a supplier or if they sent it from their own stock.

I see from that website they deal with Century (CIA) which would explain why it was messed up to begin with.

While Century does have a reputation for hiring drunk monkeys, they have farmed out the builds of their Yugo and Polish Aks and most of them have been good. Sorry to hear about your problem but at least you caught it before you walked out the door.

Most if not all of Century marked guns are not made by Century. There are many sub contractors that make the AK's as well as the other model guns as well.

One is here near me, and they made some nice looking guns. They made some of the Yugo underfolders.

Century started out building parts kits in house. The CETME's were horrible (ground bolts,Canted sights, Etc) and the AK's had Bent barrels, Canted sights, Bent rivets and alot of the 74's had 7.62x39 barrels( Main reason for them keyholing). It has only been a couple years since they started farming out their builds.
