Canadian Gun Registry Failure

Yes it was indeed a failure. Most of the provinces had already opted out and/or decided to not prosecute anyone not registering their long guns. The government claimed that by the registration deadline, the majority of guns were registered. Odd that when I live there, I knew no-one that registered their guns. The word on the street is that there are gun owners who have unregistered short guns as well

This doesn't really do much for the Canadian gun owner. There are still myriad permits, licenses and fees to own any gun, with most either restricted or prohibited.

I'm glad I'm out. F the queen.
