I let Max answer the door.
The UPS man puts the package on the porch, rings the bell and runs.
The Fed Ex man waits in the middle of the yard.
The mail lady thinks he is cute.
Go figure.

For those of you who don't know, Max is a 160 pound Mastiff / Great Dane hybrid.
The little Dobergirl Molly at 85 pounds is his backup.

Thanks for posting this.
I do have to wonder why it was stored in a different room than where she slept, and why it wasn't in her hand when she opened the door at 3am, but at least she was able to get to it and put it to good use. Hopefully she's keeping it closer now.

Agreed. I'm glad she put him out of our taxpaying misery; he was obviously a career criminal, bounding in and out of jail repeatedly. Hopefully the incident makes them both more careful and aware.

For instance, our doorbell rang at 9pm last night, and we were not expecting anyone. We both answered the door with our guns holstered but ready to draw. Turned out just to be a neighbor, but there's been a few cases with junkies casing local neighborhoods for prescription drugs, and we don't feel like taking chances.

Lol! My 110 lbs mastiff keeps the criminals at bay as well. Hell I have customers that don't want to come in the backyard because of him. If they only knew he was a big baby and all bark. If you run at him he runs away.

Henry: He may be a baby, but, it is hard to tell some people...He is a bad boy to look at his...and then the old German Sheppard comes running...If you don't know the dogs, then are very scary...

I have lived with and around big dogs most of my life.
I generally am not afraid of dogs but I know enough to respect them.
If you play by the rules generally all is well.
