I have quite a few guns I would like to sell, but many (most) of them are collectors and antique items that would probably need to be placed online for a much broader audience. I have close to 20 rifles that I would like to put up for sale.

Has anyone sold on Gunbroker or any other site? What was your experience and do you have any suggestions to pass? Thanks to everyone for your help...

I've had Henry (HHB Guns) consign a few for me and he lists them on GB. It made the sale painless from my perspective as he takes the pictures, handles all the email questions and shipping.
In other words his fee was worth it.

Fees for Consignment:

anything selling less than $500:
Flat rate $25 my commission
Gunbroker fees as follows
$10.75 to List
$1.25 Final Fee for first $25
2.5% of the final selling price for the remaining $475...$11.88
_________________________________________________________-
Total off the $500 selling price is $48.88 which is a consignment fee of about 9.5%....LOL

Anything Over $500-$1000:
My commission is 5%
Gunbroker fees stay the same as under $500

Anything Selling over $1000:
My commission 5%
Gunbroker fees stay the same as up to $1000 AND anything over $1000 is rated at .0125%
Example...Gun sells for $1200
My 5% =$60
$10.75 List
$1.25 for first $25
$24.38 for $975
$2.50 for last $200
______________________
Total off the $1200 is $98.88 which is about 8.25% off the top.

I know several local gunshops will do it for 15-25% off the top + they dont get a national audience.

I take the pics, questions, shipping, EVERYTHING...+ I can accept Credit cards which most people like to pay with so they can dispute the charge in case of fraud. I have never had a negative feedback in over 150- 100% A+ feedback. I have handled guns as high as $82,000 and as little as $150. I list for 7 days and give seven days to pay and I cut you a check right around two weeks later. I want you to get the most for your gun because THE MORE YOU GET, THE MORE I GET.

Hope that helped some. Sorry if I forgot something. Feel free to ask more questions.

that sounds like a great deal for someone selling a gun through you.

if i may ask what percent do you get on a new gun?

if its none of my business thats ok. i just thought some dealers ive met tried to get up to 20% on a new gun.

is that right?

That was VERY helpful. My only other question is after 7 days if the gun does not sell-is there a charge-or can the gun be relisted? Thanks again, I'm going to stop by and see you today.

Very good question....Once its listed it stays on till it sells or you want it back. If you decide you want it back before it sells all you owe me is the $10.75 it costs me to list it and its yours.
