I have been dithering for several weeks on replacing my Keltec P3AT because I have never gotten the action to be as smooth as I think it should be, don't get me wrong its a pretty good pocket pistol but just not living up to my desires. I probably have only put a hundred of so rounds down it because of the arthritis in my hands and as such it has not had enough action to get smoother. Or so I am told.
Anyway a few weeks ago I was down at Myrtle Beach and went to the Bass pro shop there and handled a Sig 238 .380. They only had one with the stamped slide and I declined to follow through. So I found this one today.

And while it was a little higher than I thought I could get it from Say Silent Bob it was here in hand and we managed to work a deal and Sig had some deal going with the Dealer and they threw in a Box of Federal PD 90 Grain Hydro shock ammo.
Any way I now Have three Sigs, 226,250C and now the 238 nitro.

So stay tuned I may post the Keltec for sale soon and I will make it a good deal if I do.

Thanks,
Its pretty obvious that I love my Sigs.
I expect this one to live up to its big brothers reputations and history. I'm thinking I need to thin the herd of some items,,,,,although my son in law thinks I should keep all of my toys for later, like when I am in the ground and they get passed to him and the grandkids...

The Son in Law would be smarter to make a deal with you. That way he can have first crack at what you are parting with.

Those Sig Sauers are pretty cool. My nephew and my niece's fiance both work at the plant up in Exeter NH, they put a lot of love into those firearms.

I love the 238 but I just dont have the balls to put it in my waist line while walking at night loaded. With the luck I have I would bump the safety and shoot my pe**^ off. I think I will stick to my LCP. Atleast I know I have to pull that trigger 8lbs to make it go bang. Very nice 238 though.

I have heard the same comment and insecurity sentiment for years in regards to carrying 1911's, which I did for years and cannot recall a single documented case of that happening, although I share your concern for that particular part of the male anatomy.
By the way the trigger pull on the 238 is 7.5 - 8 Pounds so ..........................

They're doing great things with prosthetics these days. A plastic surgeon might outdo mother nature?

I checked one of those out at Academy when i went through G-ville this summer. Man that is a nice gun. Very well polished and very smooth. Looks like a great summer carry for SC.
