I am thinking about contacting the B.E.L.T. folks to find out about when they have an advanced carry course scheduled. Is anyone else interested in doing one of these courses - I think it would be a good way to meet up with some of the other forum members doing something fun & productive!

I have been thinking about this since you made the post....I think it would be a good thing.
I would be very interested in taking a course like this.

I would almost bet the B.E.L.T. has something like this....or, they maybe could do something like this...

Sounds like fun...Hope we can get some more interest...

I sent an e-mail to get some info from the B.E.L.T. people. I will post what I find out in this thread. I do not know anything about the group that thebrasilian mentioned but would be interested to hear more about them if anyone knows anything... Maybe it would be worth a trip up there sometime as well!

Here is the response that I got about the B.E.L.T. training class, the price is not $75 like I thought, I guess it is $150 now. So, what do you guys think?:

Sorry we haven't been on the forum lately. Fordnut, we simply require a CWP or proof of training that one has attended CWP training, prior military or LE experience due to the nature of the training. Students will be shooting in a mildly dynamic environment and safe gunhandling skills are paramount. Prior training does not guarantee anything, but it sure helps. If someone does not have the prerequisites, give us a call and we can discuss it. As far as this group goes, we will make it happen!

7 more spots to fill then we need to agree on a date right?

You set the date (remember, cooler is better) and let me know. All to be done then is for everyone who wishes to participate to register on our website at http://www.belttraining.com and submit the deposit. Since we provide lunch, we'll make sure the we turn out a particularly hearty and tasty spread.

I took their advanced class last year and it was a blast. I have heard since then that more fun stuff has been added to the course. Included in the price is a nice spread of vittles for lunch. You are lucky if you can do any movement after their lunch! That's some good stuff.
