I used 110gr Barnes TSX loaded by SSA. The deer was 159 lbs with an inside spread just under 17".

Thanks everyone, I've seen a bunch of bucks just a little bit smaller than this one and let them all walk. There are some monster bucks I have seen that put this one to shame also, I just have not been in the right place at the right time to shoot em. I'm still trying though :!:

Nice to have you back bubba. Looks like the 308 & 338 Spectre are not feeling the love this season huh? I can help those neglected rifles overcome their feelings of inadequacy & rejection.

Oh that's a very nice deer you bagged there too - congrats!

 I did shoot a doe the other day with the 338 but I messed up. I took an 90 yard shot and hit it to far back and just a little low. Needless to say I did not find it :(. There was lots of blood at first but after trailing it for some time the blood just stopped. When I get the Larue mount for my Night Force scope maybe that won't happen again.

Let me know when you want to come out Clicker.

Oh yeah we just put up new box stand on the power line yesterday with about a 20' eye level. It's gonna be sweet. Also ran the bush hog and opened some more shooting lanes.

The work you guys have done should really pay off. I love hunting up above the brush. Maybe I can come out after ShootzenFest. The rut will be winding down and I can fill a my doe tags. Remember I have a free ticket to play anytime since the wife has a new ride and I'm husband of the year.
